Actor Govinda inaugurated Surya Hospital’s Daycare Chemotherapy Centre in Santacruz, Mumbai yesterday along with renowned Oncologist Dr. Suresh Advani and Dr. Bhupendra Awasthi.
While at the event he said, “I’m truly humbled to have been invited here. I’ll always come forth in the service of people.”
Truly a star in many ways, actor Govinda was conferred with an Appreciation Award for the Humanitarian Aid during Covid-19 pandemic towards Cancer Patients at the Surya Healthcare Awards 2021.
The shooting of writer-director Karan Razdan’s film Hindutva is complete and the director wrapped up the film at Film City in Mumbai. The film that has Ashish Sharma,Sonarika Bhadoria ,Ankit Raj, Dipika Chikhlia, Govind Namdev and Anup Jalota has been mostly shot at different locations in Uttarakhand. The film revolves around the human values of love and brotherhood.
Anup Jalota said, “Hindutva is a very emotional and strong film. My role and my dialogues in the film are hard hitting but true. The film was shot in Uttarakhand for forty days. Some action and patch work remained which was shot in Mumbai. People have appreciated my performance in Paatal Lok and Satya Sai Baba. I am playing the role of the father of the hero in the film.“
Ashish Sharma said, “It started raining when we shot in Mumbai, but the director of the film Karan Razdan has made a great film and I am happy that I am a part of it.” He added, “I enjoyed working with the entire team. My co-actor Sonarika Bhadoria is a very beautiful and hugely talented actress. I am lucky that I got to work with Dipika Chikhlia.”
Ankit Raj said that a very important scene of the film has been shot in Filmcity which is going to come around the interval. I can’t reveal what the scene is right now but the audience will find it very thrilling in the film. We had a 40 day schedule in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand which has been an amazing experience. I am playing the role of university leader Sameer Siddiqui in the film. He is a dynamic character who will appeal to the masses. This film will be the turning point for my career as it is a big commercial film.
Karan Razdan, who has written films like Diljale ,Dilwale, Qayamat, Trimurti and many more said, “It was pleasant shooting in Uttarakhand. All the main actors of my film Hindutva are well-known TV actors Ashish Sharma, Sonarika Bhadoria, Ankit Raj, Dipika Chikhlia, Govind Namdev and of course Anup Jalota is a great singer. Music in the film is composed by Ravi Shankar and lyrics are penned by Shweta Raj. I am hoping that people will like the music first and then the film. Masses will connect with it.”
Gulshan Nain who recently completed his shoot for his web series College Diaries is more than happy to not get a break and has started his next project which is a movie Donkers. Gulshan Nain shares, “I have had an amazing experience doing web and movies. I am really happy & feel fortunate to be a part of yet another movie as a lead and this is more special as it’s an action movie. I am playing the character of Rocky, who is a fighter and wants to be internationally recognised. I can’t reveal a lot but I am very excited for this project because the script is very good and its going to be a very adventurous shoot, the locations planned for the shoot are amazing.” When asked how did he prepare himself for this action packed movie since the gyms and fitness centres were closed. The actor shares, “Last year because of Covid there were no shoots or work and even the gyms were closed, so one couldn’t focus on Fitness. So I thought of learning MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), that’s how I utilised my free time in lockdown and it is paying off now. To be honest, where there is a will, there is a way. If I had been lazy and gotten into the zone of complete relaxation, and not made it a point to keep myself fit and workout everyday no matter what, then maybe today I wouldn’t have been a part of this movie or would have had to workout 3-4 times more to up my fitness level in a short span of time. So I would just advice everyone to take at least an hour out for fitness, because we all have seen in this year and a half that Health is Wealth.” When asked if he is keeping away from TV and what is pushed him to explore other mediums, Gulshan shares, “I am not keeping away from TV because I don’t choose the medium. I choose content, charcter, story and don’t really see what the medium is. I look at two things – how good is the content and what’s my character in it. I started my acting journey with a youth based fiction TV show only on Channel V called Friends Conditions Apply. After that the web series trend started in India and I was fortunate enough to have done one of the first few web series of the country which was also awarded with several titles in International Film Festivals. Since then I have been enjoying doing web series and now enjoying this new journey as well with my first feature film as a lead.”
Shantanu Bhamare who is a veteran Software Professional has been an old friend of Producer Director Rajeev Chaudhari ( ‘ Beiimaan Love’ fame which starred Sunny Leone ) ! Rajeev and Shantanu became friends in San Francisco, USA in one of the Global Congress event, since then, they are in regular touch and have been discussing Bollywood affairs.
One fine day Rajeev Ji was sharing about his upcoming Hindi Feature Film called RED on phone, Shantanu got excited about the story and decided to meet Rajeev Ji in Mumbai. Rajeev Ji narrated the story of RED in detail along with Director Ashok Taygi Ji. On-the-spot Shantanu agreed to sign deal and joined RED Team (RED – the feature film starring Krushna Abhishek, Payal Ghosh, Kamlesh Sawant & Shakti Kapoor.) as a Co-Producer and an Actor.
Shantanu Bhamare has performed the role of a Jailer, in this film RED, who helps Kamlesh Sawant (‘Drishyam’ fame) who plays a cop in RED! This significant role of a Jailer is portrayed by Shantanu is coming up as highlight of the film – RED ! Shantanu, being a stage & theater artist was able to enact this powerful role of a jailer in front of veteran actor Kamlesh Sawant without any retake!
