बचपन ज़िंदगी को बेफ़िक्री से जीने और स्कूलों में पढ़ने-लिखने का नाम है. मगर ये एक क्रूर सच्चाई है कि देश के कई ग्रामीण इलाकों में आज भी छोटी-छोटी बच्चियों को पानी भरने के लिए मीलों पैदल चलना पड़ता है. इसके चलते ऐसी बच्चियां ना सिर्फ़ अपनी‌ मासूमियत खो देती हैं, बल्कि वे स्कूली शिक्षा पाने से भी महरूम रह जाती है जो उनके उज्ज्वल भविष्य और सर्वांगीण विकास के लिए बेहद ज़रूरी है. डॉक्यूमेंट्री फ़िल्म ‘नो वॉटर लैंड’ की कहानी का ताना-बाना ऐसी ही मासूम बच्चियों की विषम परिस्थितियों के इर्द-गिर्द बुना गया है.

अवॉर्ड विनिंग डायरेक्टर के तौर पर अपनी पहचान रखनेवाले सौमित्र सिंह और कहानीकार अभि राज शर्मा ने ‘नो वॉटर लैंड’ के निर्माण के लिए शाज़ मेनन के साथ साझेदारी की है. ये ऐसी ग्रामीण बच्चों की कहानी है जिन्हें अपने और अपने परिवार का अस्तित्व बचाए रखने के लिए सिर पर घड़े के सहारे पानी भरने के लिए मीलों तक पैदल जाना पड़ता है और स्कूली शिक्षा से वंचित होकर अपने भविष्य से समझौता करना पड़ता है.”

युवा व प्रतिभाशाली निर्देशक सौमित्र सिंह ने‌ डॉक्यूमेंट्री फ़िल्म ‘नो वॉटर लैंड’ के शीर्षक का अनावरण किया. इस फ़िल्म में यूके में रहनेवाले मशहूर परोपकारी शाज़ मेनन के सामाजिक कार्यों को दर्शाया गया है जो अपने एनजीओ ‘वेल्स ऑन व्हील्स’ के ज़रिए महाराष्ट्र में पानी की समस्या से परेशान होकर शिक्षा से वंचित बच्चियों के हालात को बदलने के लिए एक लम्बे अर्से से काम करते आ रहे हैं.

डॉक्यूमेंट्री फ़िल्म के निर्माता शाज़ मेनन कहते हैं, “हर बच्चे/बच्ची का एक सपना होता है मगर हर बच्चे/बच्ची को‌ अपने सपने को साकार करने का अवसर नहीं मिलता है. मैं ग्रामीण इलाकों में पानी भरने जैसे दुष्चक्र में फ़ंसी बच्चियों की ज़िंदगियों में बदलाव लाना चाहता हूं. वे ना सिर्फ़ अपना बचपन को खोने और स्कूली शिक्षा से महरूम रहने के लिए मजबूर हैं, बल्कि इससे उनकी सेहत पर‌ भी बुरा असर पड़ रहा है. सिर पर‌ घड़े का बोझ उठाकर और कई किलोमीटर तक पैदल चलकर पानी भरकर लाने का सीधा मलतब है कि ऐसा करना उनके अस्तित्व के लिए बेहद ज़रूरी है जिससे उनके पास पढ़ाई-लिखाई का विकल्प नहीं बचता है. बच्चियां की ऐसी दुर्गति से मुंह नहीं फेरा जा सकता है.”

निर्देशक सौमित्र सिंह कहते हैं, “इन लड़कियों की दर्दनाक दास्तां सुनकर मैं अंदर तक हिल गया था. इन्हें अपने-अपने घरों के लिए पानी इकट्ठा करने के लिए सिर पर वज़नदार मटके रखकर 3-4 किलोमीटर तक पैदल जाना होता है, वो भी दिन में दो बार. इसके‌ चलते लड़कियां स्कूल जाने‌ और अपने‌ विकास के लिए‌ ज़रूरी अन्य गतिविधियों में शामिल‌ होने से वंचित रह जाती हैं. ग़ौरतलब है कि ये सब मुम्बई जैसे शहर से महज़ 150 किलोमीटर की दूरी‌ पर‌ हो रहा है. मेरे लिए ये मंज़र हैरान कर देनेवाला था और यही वजह है कि मैंने इसे‌ दुनिया के सामने लाने‌ का फ़ैसला किया.”

सौमित्र सिंह और उनकी‌ टीम ने‌ शूटिंग के‌ लिए रेकी पूरी कर ली है और फिलहाल फ़िल्म प्री-प्रोडक्शन स्टेज पर है. वे कहते हैं कि वे ‘वेल्स ऑन व्हील्स’ के ब्रांड एम्बैसेडर संजय कपूर के शुक्रगुज़ार हैं जिन्होंने‌ मेकर्स से उनकी सिफ़ारिश की. सौमित्र ने‌ आगे कहा, “हमने हाल ही संजय सर के साथ एक फ़ीचर फ़िल्म की शूटिंग पूरी कर ली है और मैं उनका शुक्रिया अदा करता हूं कि उनकी वजह से मुझे समाज की बेहतरी से जुड़ी‌ इस परियोजना का हिस्सा बनने का मौका मिला है. मैं शाज़ मेनन‌ और नाशिक की ‘वेल्स ऑन व्हील्स’ का भी शुक्रगुज़ार हूं जिन्होंने मेरा मार्गदर्शन किया और हर क़दम पर मुझे सहयोग दिया. ये सभी लोग मिलकर समाज के लिए उम्दा काम कर रहे हैं.”

उल्लेखनीय कि इस डॉक्यूमेंट्री फ़िल्म के निर्माण में शाज़ मेनन‌ के एनजीओ ‘वेल्स ऑन व्हील्स’ को शुकर स्टूडियोज़ का सहयोग मिल रहा है जबकि शिप्रार्ट्ज़ पर इस डॉक्यूमेंट्री के निर्माण के देखभाल की ज़िम्मेदारी सौंपी गयी है. सौमित सिंह के निर्देशन‌ में बननेवाली इस फ़िल्म से कार्यकारी निर्माता के तौर पर जुड़े हैं हसन ख़ान और अभि राज शर्मा इस डॉक्यूमेंट्री की‌ तमाम कड़ियों को अपने‌ लेखन के ज़रिए जोड़ेंगे.

सौमित्र सिंह इससे पहले नसीरुद्दीन शाह के साथ एक शॉर्ट फ़िल्म ‘द वैले’ में काम‌ कर चुके हैं. इस फ़िल्म को अब तक 70 से अधिक पुरस्कारों से नवाज़ा जा चुका है. उन्हें महेश मांजरेकर‌‌ के साथ बनाई गयी अपनी फ़िल्म ‘टैक्सी नंबर 24’ और संजय कपूर के‌ साथ बनाई गयी फ़िल्म ‘हाउस ऑफ़ लाइज़’ की रिलीज़ का भी इंतज़ार है.

शिप्रार्ट्ज़ के निदेशक और डॉक्यूमेंट्री के लेखक अभि राज शर्मा कहते हैं कि वे उन तमाम लोगों के आभारी हैं जिनकी वजह से उन्हें इस नेक काम का भागीदार बनने का मौका मिला. वे कहते हैं, “मैंने यह कंपनी अपने साझेदारों – अमनिंदर सिंह और मनबीर संधू के‌ साथ मिलकर शुरू की थी. हमारा मक़सद भारत की ज़मीन से जुड़ी हुई कहानियों को सामने लाना है मगर हमने यह कभी नहीं सोचा था कि एक दिन हम ऐसे लड़कियों की दर्दनाक कहानियों को पेश करेंगे जिन्हें हर रोज़ जिंदा रहने की जद्दोजहद और स्कूली शिक्षा के बीच में से एक को चुनने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ता है.”

Singer Raksha Shrivastava’s debut album “Manzil – A Musical Journey” was released by Bollywood’s famous writer director Rumi Jafry and Hariharan in a grand manner at the INOX Theater in Mumbai. This album by singer Raksha Shrivastava is a beautiful bouquet of 8 ghazals which are beautifully with delicately poetry and melodious music.The album consists of 6 solo ghazals by Raksha Shrivastava, one duet ghazal by Hariharan and Raksha Shrivastava and one solo ghazal by Hariharan. This album has been composed by Rajeev Mahavir, and it also has a video of two songs by Sandeep Mahavir. It is released from T-Series.                                              

The program started by garlanding Saraswati ji, in which Hariharan, Rumi Jafry, Raksha Shrivastava, Rajeev Mahavir were present. The story of Raksha Shrivastava becoming a singer is interesting. Raksha, who was very fond of singing since childhood, did not have any music lover in her family. Father was a police officer and there was absolutely no musical atmosphere in the house, due to which she did not get a chance to learn music. The family wanted her to become an IAS IPS officer due to being good at studies.  When she did not get a chance to learn singing even after insisting, then Raksha, who lived in Bhopal, took up music as a subject in college. ‘International Silver Dollar’ production house today announced a big budget film on the life and times of Birsa Munda. This multilingual film has been titled as ‘The Legend Of Lord Birsa’ which will soon commence its shooting in various part of Jharkhand where Birsa Munda himself belonged to.

The film based on the tribal leader and great freedom fighter Birsa Munda will be mounted on a unprecedented and global scale. Many popular actors from India will be seen playing prominent parts in the film. Also, international technician will be roped in to make a film which will be a fitting tribute to the great freedom fighter Birsa Munda.

The shoot of ‘The Legend of Lord Birsa’ will commence in September this year itself. The film will be shot in a single schedule of 75 days. The film will be shot in Khuti and Ranchi in Jharkhand. 80% of the film will be shot in Jharkhand itself.

Notably, the title role in ‘The Legend Of Lord Birsa’ will he essayed by actor Suchchi Kumar who is also a very popular model. Having his roots in Benaras, Suchchi Kumar is very excited to play the role of such a great historical figure. Being a model, he has won ‘World Model Award’ in 2021. He has also won many other international awards for his exceptional work in the field of modelling.

Interestingly, actor Succhi Kumar has already begun his preparation esaay the role of Birsa Munda. Much before the shoot begins, he has started the process to reduce his weight and till now he has already lost 30 Kilograms! Succhi Kumar has decided to bring alive Birsa Munda on screen and will go to any extend to look the part.

‘The Legend Of Lord Birsa’ has been written by Praveen Madan Raj Dodeja and he himself will also direct the film. SRFTI graduate Santosh Swarnkar will be the cinematogrpher of the film while Avinash Walzide will be editing the film. The high octane action scenes will be choreographed by Alister Mazzoti.

‘The Legend Of Lord Birsa’ will be presented by well known financer Bharat Shah under his banner ‘VIP Films’. Bharat Shah is known to present some of the biggest films of Bollywood in the past.

Kolkata based entrepreneur Vimal Lahoti, who is the Joint MD of Thinkink Picturez, has teamed up with filmmaker Raaj Shandilyaa to produce their latest film ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’. Raaj and Vimal co-founded Thinkink Picturez, which is listed company with a market cap of 180 crore.

Talking about the film, Vimal says, “I’m really elated to work with Raaj Shandilyaa. He’s extremely talented filmmaker with a vision. As a producer, I am always looking for films that are content driven and stand out. I believe in producing good films with entertainment value. I want to produce films with a social message and humour. ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ is an extraordinary film with a social message. We have worked really hard on this project and I’m hoping that the audience will appreciate it.”

Apart from this film, Lahoti’s future projects include a web series with Jio Studios titled ‘The Great Weddings of Munnes’. “I’m really looking forward to the release of The Great Weddings of Munnes. It’s a fun web series and the audience will definitely enjoy it. I also have more than 10 films in pipeline with various filmmakers and studios,” he adds.

Written and co-produced by Vimal Lahoti, Raaj Shaandilyaa, and Vinod Bhanushali, ‘Janhit Mein Jaari’ revolves around a young girl from Madhya Pradesh, who takes up the job of selling condoms in her town. The film traces her journey as she faces challenges due to social taboo, while also fighting back her family and the neighbourhood.

Directed by debutant Jai Basantu Singh, the film features Nushrratt Bharuccha, Tinnu Anand, Anud Singh Dhaka, Vijay Raaz, Paritosh Tripathi, and Brijendra Kala. It releases on June 10.

Rajev Paul who played the main antagonist Giriraj Oswal in Sasural Simar Ka had a grand re-entry tonight. His character had tried to kill his brother out of jealousy, in a bid to get the property and was sent to jail. In tonight’s episode the audiences saw Giriraj comeback to create further trouble for the entire family. Rajev shares, “What excited me the most was that just when you think this is over, the troublemaker, Giriraj is back. The team had mentioned that the comeback will be stronger and better but i won’t divulge much and would like to keep the surprise element alive and would want the audience to see it for themselves. My entry is on a bulldozer something unique, that you generally don’t get to see on television or even in movies. So if the start itself is so different then certainly the track beyond is going to be as much different and unexpected.” When asked if he was sceptical to re-enter the show, Rajev oe quick to reply, “No, I wasn’t sceptical at all. I know that the team of my show will do adequate justice to my character in terms of mileage, entry and the troubles I create in the show. I enjoy playing Giriraj as he is dark beyond imagination. This role gives me ample scope to perform and explore the darker side of human emotions. And I know when am back, things will be better and bigger than before.”
